First and only news chatbot in Thailand

Boonmee Lab has developed Thailand's first and only chatbot news in partnership with Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS), a popular public broadcasting service in Thailand. Chatbot was a great fit for the client's vision of adding innovation, media technology to their pipeline in this new era. We realized that the key for this chatbot was to focus on delivering the best news at the best timing for each individual. In Thailand, LINE messenger and Facebook Messenger are the most popular messengers, so we developed Thai PBS chatbot to communicate with users through these two channels.

Personalization

Thai PBS chatbot personalizes news and deliver it to users on a daily basis, while at the same time creating more powerful personalization algorithms over time by collecting data about the news that users read and like. In addition, the Thai PBS chatbot provides search for news and TV shows within the Thai PBS chatbot channels.

 

 

In order to reduce the dropout rate, we allowed users to easily access the content by various chat flows so that there was no need to visit the website. Moreover, we developed a chat flow for a questionnaire to diagnosis the risk of Covid19 infection, which has a reputation for being a very useful feature in Thailand.

 

 

Currently, we are working hard to meet the needs of more users by adding information for more broadcast channels. We will add chat flows for children's channel Thai PBS Kids, international channel Thai PBS Worlds, education channel ALTV and podcasts, including more sophisticated personalization algorithms.
