Boonmee Lab presented Oho Chat, a chat management platform, to Office of International Affairs and Global Network (OIA), Chulalongkorn University. Oho Chat has several useful features that can improve the workflow of administrative teams.

In addition to implementing international relations and making Chulalongkorn University a hub for regional and international forums, the OIA conducts cooperative activities and academic exchanges with international institutions, as well as providing academic services to international communities and activities for teaching staff and international students enrolled at Chulalongkorn University. Additionally, the OIA works to develop and prepare academic readiness among personnel and students, enabling them to stay abreast of academic advancements and communicate effectively at the international level. Due to the high volume of queries from both current and prospective students from Thailand and abroad, the OIA team seeks a solution that will reduce their workload while simultaneously increasing their ability to respond to and fulfill requests and improve the experience of receiving information from students.

To create an effective and efficient chatbot, our design team conducted user research with the OIA team to gain a deeper understanding of their data, workflow, and expectations. We compiled a summary of all the insights and gathered all the necessary information to answer student questions. Then, we created a chat flow specifically for OIA to visualize the conversational flow between the OIA team and inquirers.

After confirming the flow, we configured the Oho Chat system to match the flow we designed and built and trained the chatbot with information provided by the OIA team, including course descriptions, scholarships, the locations of key campus buildings, contact information, policies, etc.

When the system is ready for use, Boonmee Lab will schedule a training session to teach the administrators of the OIA team how to use Oho Chat so that they can answer questions via Oho Chat rather than Facebook. By utilizing the system, not only can the OIA team have a chatbot to assist them answer queries, but they can also use other features to better understand the inquirers, such as the contact feature, a small CRM in Oho Chat, and the dashboard feature, a data-visualized dashboard to view the page's overall status.
