Geolocation-based analytics tool for a telecom company

We have worked with a telco company to create a analytics platform. Our main tasks were data analysis and data visualization that is the most suitable for the platform.

The client had a large amount of data gathered by a team of big data scientists from its subsidiaries and the objective was to show the data in an analytics tool. We created a geolocation-based platform divided by cell sites and when users click one area, the related data to the region shows in visualization formats for them to draw insights.

Why Booonmee Lab?

The client worked with Boonmee Lab for this project because our expertise lies in both UX/UI design and data. Data scientists and engineers who can design a good data-related products are rare. We are unique in terms of providing both to the clients.

Companies who have a lot of data but do not know how to make it useful for business or present in good ways can hire us to redesign the entire experience. We can provide a guideline how your engineers should build a right platform with the data you have.

Procedure

We did data analysis and data visualization design that is the most suitable to the platform. During this project, we also also offered the clients user journey design, UX, and UI processes.

We gathered the client's requirements and created user journey and persona to match. Then we made sure all the requirements were translated into features and good experience for the kind of data dashboard products.

Challenge

The difference between our standard design process and this project was about data. The behavior of data to match the client's needs required extra care. In order to design an easy-to-use interface that depends on how data react, collaboration with different teams was a big challenge but the outcome was meaningful.
